I kept the animals in my fantasy novel similar to what we have. They keep cats and dogs as pets. In the wild, there are bears, snakes, song birds and other animals. In another fantasy novel I wrote, there are dragons.

The police indicate there was no foul play or forced entry to Bolivas’ shared apartment in Downtown Luriel, but have not ruled anything out,” said the reporter. She tilted her head and her blonde bob stayed perfectly placed. “Bolivas’ family and friends report he was not a user of—” Cera shook her head and set her holotablet on its charging station. Soulmateless were the least of the government’s concerns—this man would never be found. LAST CHANCE MATCH Pitch: Welcome to the inaugural season of Last Chance Match, a government-funded dating show for the soulmateless to find their other half. Set in a tropical location, twenty hopeful singles will compete for the chance to have a soulmate and all the benefits that come with it such as: free healthcare and education, better job opportunities and exemption from soulmateless extermination at thirty. Due to limited resources and population control, only three couples can win. Are you ready to find the one who’s to die for? 28-year-old soulmateless Cera thinks the opportunity could be the start of something amazing until the show takes a dark turn and a fellow contestant is killed by the robot host. The infuriatingly attractive but mysterious Ryde swears he’ll get Cera home safely so long as they remain coupled to protect one another from elimination. My wip is a queer paranormal w/ cozy vibes. MC is a bi-ace webcomic artist who inherits a magical house. W/ witches, werewolves, & cryptids.

Story is New Adult w/coming of age themes, but I usually write YA and have an academic background in children's+ ya lit
