Looks like it’s a battle of the Intelli-gents…

Thank you. This was my 4th game of it and I’ve not once used decreasing reputation for resources/credits etc.

I sure won’t forget it’s an option in future! 🙂

That could have helped - can you do that mid action? I needed 5, but had capacity for 4…

It’s the lightest of Rosenberg’s farming games. It’s nicely produced, good for chill gameplay, perhaps lacking the staying power of his ‘bigger’ titles.

Ah nice! 🙂 I met Tony through my enjoyment of his solo games, Aleph Null and Lux Aeterna. Saw him at the weekend when I was down there for his Gathering of Chums. Really good weekend.
Couldn’t help but back the Snowdonia Grand Tour too… it looks great!

Yes, me too. Just played CoB a 2nd time, this time my first ever game with vineyards. Such a brilliant game. Glad I got both of them out again.

I have previously, not for a while in some cases. Snowdonia is going to be first up 😊

Yes, always. I revisit my ratings fairly regularly too. I’m usually initially very enthusiastic about most games, so my ratings tend to drop slightly over time, or it may be a case that I discover another game down the line, that plays a similar way, that I prefer.

That said, you can’t go wrong with any of the sets - they are all fantastic. I played just classics over 50 times before considering getting other sets- there is plenty to keep you occupied even in one 8 civ set.

For my mind, yes. The rulebook in Horizons is the best, but that is available online and can help with learning Classics. It also has purely historical civilisations, which I prefer to the fantastical ones in the other sets.

My order of acquisition would be classics -> horizons -> legends
