2. If you are still concerned, or it is not safe to talk to them, contact social services, they will ask about the persons care and support needs and situation. 
3. If an adult is not in immediate danger but you need Police help, contact 101.

Adult safeguarding is everyone’s responsibility. Noticing is not nosiness, if you are worried about an adult, like the examples below, here’s what you can do: 

1. Talk to them to find out what is happening, if it is safe to do so.

People who abuse are not always strangers, they can also be partners, relatives, a friend, neighbour or carer.
“We help our neighbour out but now I’m worried. She’s not been the same since her son moved in and his friends are coming and going. She suddenly doesn’t want us coming around anymore.”

Adults can be at risk of different kinds of abuse and it can happen anywhere. This could be an adult neglecting themselves, or when someone else treats them in a way that harms or hurts them. It can happen once or on multiple occasions.
