In the early 2010s I was at a dinner party with a group of affluent Rs. They were singing GWB’s praises including the war in Iraq.

When I asked how they would feel if the draft was reinstated it was revealing. They quickly came up with ways they would keep their son out of the draft.

Only wound up reading one article and it was how Congress passed the Glass Steagall Act.

Basically, Congress held hearings where they excoriated Wall St and other business executives.

It was performative and effective.

Also, according to the VP the appropriate response to a country with no nuclear weapons who is stonewalling negotiations is to bomb them?!

3) Trump claims that Iran can’t have a nuclear weapon but he canceled the JCPOA treaty that was preventing that from happening. His maximalist pressure campaign failed.

Isn’t this a case of the arsonist wanting applause for putting out the fire he started?!

2/ The DNI testified under oath just weeks ago that Iran didn’t have this capability(roll tape).

2) Under what legal authority did Trump launch this strike? This is clearly an act of war and Congress didn’t declare war. The US was not under imminent threat (see 1 above).
