The Four Winds by Kristin Hannah-4 stars-some of the characters are a bit 2-dimensional. The book does a great job of bringing the Dust Bowl to life. the problems that arouse in CA were brought forward in a way to give you a sense of the complicated feeling occurring in this area. #books #booksky

Out There by Kate Folk - 4.5 stars - Excellent set of short stories - mainly dystopian in nature. Majority of short stories were very well written. Just a few I thought were ok. Favorites involved blots and the bone disorder. Recommend especially if you like short stories. #books #booksky

Redshirts by John Scalzi - 4.5 stars - Something is not right on the starship Intrepid. Lower ranking members (redshirts) avoid away missions because someone always dies. The reason is convoluted sci-fi but it works and makes you think about stories in a different light. #books #booksky
