While working on my own mechsplo story, I'm finding that writing the handler and how she operates has been the most difficult part. I have a general idea of her demeanor but it's her methods and the small details I'm struggling with. It's interesting to imagine handlers reading those types of books.

Handler: rarely plays and just watches but when she does she's a highly effective spy main. Big earner and cloak and dagger or dead ringer. Uses the Ambassador very well. Plays Medic when they do MvM.
Half the enemy team will die within moments of her saying Off The Leash.

How accurate do you think this is? I haven't played TF2 in a while and just went off how the girls fought and acted and what their mechs were like, as well as how they are as people in general. I hope at least one of these made sense for the character.

Sartha Soldier: rocket jumper or beggar's, Buff Banner, Market Garden. Sometimes the Escape Plan for memes.

Sartha Demoman: exclusively Demoknight. Booties, favors the Charge n Targe, Eyelander.

Kione; the most insufferable but efficient Sniper player ever. Bazar bargain or Machina. Quick scopes. Definitely wears one of the shields or uses the jarate and bushwhacker.

Sartha: rotates between Scout, jumper Soldier, or Demoknight. She's never used the grenade launcher or sticky launcher once.

Idk enough about Amynta. I haven't reread Rescue Hound fully yet and I haven't seen Showhound yet. Maybe Engineer or Pyro, or Demoman.

I've personally found myself gravitating towards something kinda like what you described Kallie with a handler positioning herself as a source of safety and comfort, although what she uses to facilitate pushing her victims to her is different.

God this story has been making me re-evaluate hound pilot pack dynamics and the reasons why handlers might want to encourage such things over a rivalry between their hounds. There's so much to think about.

This latest chapter has given me a lot to think about regarding its premise of a hound becoming a handler and how the aggression and violent tendencies implanted into a hound girl clash with the way handlers are often dismissive of their hounds. It's such an interesting mix to think about.

Yeah, when I tried the code on the reddit post a couple weeks ago, it didn't work. I have the reddit post bookmarked if you want to check it. I would've tried to just examine the image of the build and identify the parts used but reddit image compression made that unfeasible.

The main things I remember from when I watched Unicorn a few years ago were that Marida Cruz was cool and deserved better, that Stark Jegan pilot was legendary, I didn't care for Banagher, and the battle of Torrington Base is one of my favorite mecha battles ever.

I never finished Unicorn. I don't remember exactly why, I got up to episode 4 I think before I stopped. I've been thinking about revisiting it when I finish the 079 to CCA era to try and give it another chance.
That all said, at best, I still hear mixed things about it and it's narrative and themes.
