They’re doing exactly what they said they were going to do and this is going to have a multigenerational impact. Everyone should be concerned about the attacks on NOAA and the NWS.
Losing NOAA would be devastating. Project 2025 authors want to get rid of it because it monitors climate change, and privatize the information it currently provides for free, so you'll have to buy information about the weather and the winds (imperative for mariners).
I have covered NOAA and it’s work for like 15 years and this is brutal. If you’re there and want to chat or share anything, signal is davelevitan.26

The boys and I are learning to weave together on this loom. We take turns, and it’s turning out beautifully. I love that we’re collaboratively creating together, a lovely metaphor for how we can work together to weave a better world.

If you care about children, you support their access to life-saving health care; you affirm and celebrate them as their whole selves; you strive to build a society of freedom, autonomy, care, and liberation in which they can live and grow.

Protect trans kids, today and every day.

Such a cool resource & way of thinking about community! Correct link: www.soiltjp.org/our-work/res...
Telling folks to just "plug in to community" rn is well-meaning and if you can do that, wonderful. But most people are not super connected to community for many reasons. So, if you don't have community rn that's ok, consider finding 2-5 ppl you can form a pod with.

Beloved’s focaccia bread + Happy Acre Farm olio nuovo + Farmhouse Lab flower petal salt! Finding joy in beautiful food made by small scale producers, some I’ve met in person & some who grow food in my hometown’s bioregional. Feeling connected to my food & its story is grounding in these times.
