Also, I already feel bad about books not on the list.

To be fair, I have finished 143 books this year (so far), AND I have been more savage about marking a book DNF and abandoning it this year than I have EVER been. But still. 30 books is nearly 1/5 of the books I read this year, and it seems like I should weed down to at most 1/10 to be meaningful.

This tooth was doomed because I waited until my 40s to have my wisdom teeth out, and the two on the bottom were ramming into the roots of the teeth in front of them and eroded the bone.

So, you know. Don't put off having those wisdom teeth out, kids!

It's always that end of visit whammy! "Oh, you are doing a great job taking care of your teeth! ... By the way, that tooth has got to come out, can we do it today?"

These sound interesting! Do you always use the whole wheat pastry flour, or do you think I could get away with "regular" whole wheat flour?

I improvised the rest of the bake, and while they didn't end up as uniformly golden as the picture, there was still a nice bite to the outside and a very moist center. I will try these again without turning off the oven, I think!

Update: these muffins were lovely! Even though I screwed up the bake by accidentally turning off the oven (during a panic fumble when I opened the oven to put the muffins in and discovered a Dutch oven inside) and didn't realize until the bake time was halfway over...
