Hehe, it’s Freshers moving in week. It’s quite amusing to see them all dressed to impressed, immaculate in their best new clothes, hair and makeup.

They’ll soon be mooching about in hoodies, joggers and sliders everywhere 😆

On MS Teams, I've just had the banner appear:

"Announcement As part of a recent update, some Teams you may have previously hidden are now visible again. If you'd prefer not to see them, you can easily hide them from your Teams view."

This must be some new use of the phrase "easily hide" I […]

This morning we had a report of an important system not working properly.

Tracking back to yesterday afternoon, a colleague made a change to bring that system back into compliance with our managed config (this happens all the time) but that broke it.

In our whole-dept Incidents chat where it […]

It can only be #alevelresultsday2025, I don’t get up at this time for anyone else.

Stay safe out there, people. May your calls flow and your courses be full! #ukhe

I’m struggling to understand why gov.uk wants to build “community health hubs” when we already have underfunded, privatised-by-stealth, GP surgeries and pharmacies.

Fund the existing services properly, don’t waste money creating bureaucratic infrastructure to create new ones.

Increasingly glad we decided to shutter the Green Living Forum before the OSA kicked in. I wouldn't want to be a volunteer admin having to check, store and keep safe a load of age identifying information for several thousand random people.
