Whatever these deployments do, whatever misery they cause, are the intent. We suckers will have to wait to observe it flowing downstream. Just don't forget to attribute it to malice (and its equally damning siblings: carelessness and wrongness). All the warnings were sounded and heard.

DEV: "Okay, done. I also put in ads for a gambling app where the close button is a trick that actually burns your finger if you press it, but if you don't, your phone melts.

Everything other than a total turning-away, e.g. saying, "but the tech has clean and positive use cases!" is... well, something I'm incapable of. I'm a black and white kind of thinker. I won't forgive anything that hasn't been apologized for.
