I cherish our Constitution and Bill of Rights. I want a country that has achieved social justice and equality. I want a democracy that serves all the citizenry, not exclusively the rich. I want an end to money in politics. I seek a more perfect union.

Do we as consumers want to pay for increased electricity costs caused by AI and data centers? Didn’t think so.

Things could have been drastically different for the better.

Billionaires receive the obscene volumes of money not though hard work but through ill-gotten methods. It’s time for the government to claw back the lion’s share of the wealth of billionaires by raising taxes significantly.
Billie Eilish asked an important question: "If you’re a billionaire, why are you a billionaire?"

There are FIVE ways to accumulate a billion dollars:

1) Profiting from a monopoly
2) Insider-trading
3) Political payoffs
4) Fraud
5) Inheritance

Billionaires are the result of a failed system.

The loud-mouthed older rich white guys in distress, the Tea Party, MAGA, White Supremacist groups, Militias/Mercenaries/Rogue ex military and law enforcement officers, etc. are not gone and if they are somewhat quiescent at the moment it’s only to regroup. But don’t be deceived. They are not gone.

In short, corporate employment is slavery and exploitation. Talent is exploited for a pittance and the rewards and spoils go to the owners of capital, the CEOs and executive boards, and shareholders. Corporations vacuum up all of the creative, innovative R&D and productivity of young bright minds.

Corporate work is slavery compared to self-employment and private worker-owned small businesses, coops, and work in specialized trades that have union representation. Vocational training, apprenticeships, and small business entrepreneurship are superior forms of training for employment.

Now it is not just Trump and the republicans throwing Americans under the bus. It is also 9 democratic senators prostrating themselves to the cause of destroying America.

When more people vote they can have a government that works for them. But if they don’t vote they get the republican mess that we are trying to get out of.

Why do the media give any attention at all to lunatic women in politics like Loomer, Mace, etc when we all know that these women are sick and deranged? We already know that. It’s not news. Media could immediately clean itself up a bit simply by not reporting the antics of these lunatics.

I'm shocked that Johnson admitted to knowing about anything and actually made a comment about yesterdays elections although his comment is wishful thinking. It will be much more fun to see his response after election results from red states show a significant blue shift.
Surprised he heard about it.
Mike Johnson: "What happened last night is blue states and blue cities voted blue. We all saw that coming. And no one should read too much into last night's election results."

I bet McDonald's executives have contributed to Trump's coffers. Probably multiple times. They get what they deserve.
Traffic from lower-income customers at McDonald's has dropped by “nearly double digits,” according to the company's CEO.

And I bet that juicy corporate donations from McDonalds have found their way into Trump coffers, on probably more than one occasion. Serves them right.

Let's all help make (Russia-loving, Nazi Elon Musk's) Tesla go out of business. There are so many good options for buying an electric vehicle now that Teslas should not even be considered.

Power To The People and to the democratic candidates they support in elections for public servants in all elected positions who will work for "The People"!

Again, we all owe a debt of gratitude to our elections officials and the poll workers who volunteer to keep our election safe, efficient and fair.

Instead of socially targeting and abusing and harassing gender non-conforming members of the community, why isn't there a massive investigation into all of the conservative religious fanatics, of whom probably only a small portion, are often indicted for sex crimes. THEY are the dangerous deviants.

Sustainable agriculture practices restore top soil and sink thousands of tons back into the soil which solves two major problems with one set of actions. Farmers practicing sustainable agriculture usually make a much better living and contribute much more to local economies than agribusinesses do.
The most under-appreciated (and under-funded and under-reported) driver of climate change is our food system.

Our food system emits ~1/3 of global emissions. But it only gets 3% of climate funding and 4% of media coverage.

Let’s focus more on food.

Here’s a start: go.ted.com/jonathanfoley24
The problem with food and climate — and how to fix it
Global food production — from meat to grains — accounts for a third of all greenhouse gas emissions, says sustainability scientist Jonathan Foley. He presents a portfolio of data-backed solutions to b...
