My mom was Stage IV at the time. I had all of the encouragement I needed for aggressive treatment every time I looked at her.

I had breast cancer in my 30's. I was extremely aggressive with treatment, and out of three of us who were diagnosed around the same time I am the only one alive who is not Stage IV. I chose bilateral mastectomies. Surgeon said I was "just in time."
