I love Portland. Plus gay men's chorus. I might be biased as my husband is in it.

Yes, frog suit appearance was unexpected but welcomed.

Tree is up! The snowman ornament was our first one, so it goes up first every year.

Not religious in the slightest, but I do like to keep traditions that bring a bit of joy to life.

So happy to hear that same sex marriage must be recognized all across the EU!

Kelly: "I never expected after serving 25 years in the Navy flying combat missions over Iraq and Kuwait, flying the Space Shuttle, that now I've got to worry about my personal safety and that of my wife, Gabby Giffords, who was already nearly assassinated, because of something the president said."

Wore some purple and other colors for spirit day today.

Queer youth still have a tough time in schools and communities, and just need to be able to live their lives.

Hey if the government is still shut down, can we just go in and start a new one? It can be like second breakfast but for government.

I'm glad that I continue to be shocked by this shit. Using our military against us citizens. My grandpa fought in a war against authoritarians for them to only take over here, years later.
This photo just about sums it up

We were walking along Buda castle and this concert randomly went on. There was a lot more to this song, and I don't know why but it was so emotional for me. There was a beautiful operatic piece before, too.

Really enjoyed my time in Berlin. Much more of the trip to go, but enjoying Europe so much. Okay, now to just forget to go back home. 😅

Isn't it fun living in a dictatorship?

Saw this earlier. The excuse was that it was a "coding error". SMH.
Article 1, Section 9 & 10 have been removed from the official Govt website on the US Constitution. Among numerous points:
•Section 9 forbids suspending The Privilege of the Writ of Habeas Corpus
•Section 10 forbids ex post facto laws

This better be a joke. Ignoring these is full blow dictatorship

I don’t think anyone is prepared for what they just did w/ ICE.

This is not a simple budget increase. It is an explosion - making ICE bigger than the FBI, US Bureau of Prisons, DEA,& others combined.

It is setting up to make what’s happening now look like child’s play. And people are disappearing.

Read a little about the "3.5% rule" many are pointing to about a population protesting. There's been some research on this, and there are some exceptions. However, it still is a general trend. This weekend saw close or above that number in turnout. Keep trying. Regimes fall all the time.

Stuff like food carts are why I love Portland area so much. I've lived in more rural places that either have only fast food or "upscale dining", that wasn't really that amazing. While we drove to it today, this is so close to transit, too. Maybe it also is a bit of nostalgia I have for food courts

Been listening to this one several times today. Great lyrics and appropriate today.

"You cannot eat money, oh no
When the last tree has fallen
And the rivers are poisoned
You cannot eat money, oh no"
