At my son’s house. Shower faucet needs a new cartridge and flow control insert. Hardware store had the cartridge but not the insert. Also they sell the whole faucet/valve and shower head, so I bought that for parts. Problem solved

My son’s basement floor is dirt. They keep beach sandals at the top of the stairs just for the basement. Tonight I went down in the basement. This look reminded me of a “camel’s toe”

Mom & dad want a screened in patio by spring time (mid west USA). They like the style that is rectangular & attach to the house. The eaves are 7’4” high, but most screen room kits are ~8’ tall. I just learned some kits can be lowered by cutting the AL posts and redrilling the mounting plate holes

A friend’s dining room chair leg cracked when someone leaned back. Cracked at a weak spot, where there was knot. Used Titebond III glue. For a clamp, I used very tightly wrapped nylon cord, which worked amazingly well.

What did I do today? Hint.: The painting in the Sistine Chapel has *tremendous* depth - portions appear to be 3D. As just one example, these pillar platforms looked fully three dimensional.

Our SleepNumber mattress was on edge for months, air bladders had fallen to one edge. I flipped it bottom side up, unzipped the bottom, rearranged the bladders. Thankfully bladders were labeled ThisSideToBottom. Very quickly flipped it over - like a thick pancake - so parts didn’t have time to shift

Helped my son remove lots of plaster and lathe in a room he was refurbishing. We bagged the debris. Bags were really heavy. Made a sled mechanism to lower the bags from the 2nd floor to ground level. Worked great.

Made cardboard tunnels for our dog. Taped several boxes together. The maze including a tray for a Scooby snack and a hole where dog can retrieve said snack. Eye holes don’t align and where for added silliness. Worked great and was fun for everyone. Each time I dropped in a treat the tong appeared

Sister is moving from US Virgin Islands to my town in Illinois. She’s buying household items online and they arrive at my front porch. Today I need to go to a nearby town to pickup her turkey fryer. I’ll probably bring Wiggles.

Grandson’s bday. We gifted him a make-your-own treasure chest. built from 2 vanity drawers that were in our stock. Once built, we disassembled it all and kitted the parts. His dad will have to help a bit with the screws. We included an instruction manual.

Ugh.
Know what’s worse? Dad’s Samsung stopped detecting touch input. I asked him if he has a screen protector and if it’s okay to remove it to see if touch input works better. He said yes, try it. The protector was *really* tough to get off. Strongest glue evar. The phone didn’t have a protector

Oh wow. Ugh.
This reminded me of something I saw last week. A neighborhood with several intersecting/parallel streets all named Chestnut St. The house numbers were unique, so there’s that.

Bathtub/shower diverter no longer diverting. Couldn’t procure just the grey plastic diverter so bought a spout. New spout too long so cut it apart to liberate the grey plastic diverter. Old spout with new diverter works like new, like a pro did this job

Friend says 3 circuit breakers trip at the same time. Randomly. I dont see a reason so I’m going to monitor them. (a) I installed a security camera that lets me see the breakers & sends movement notifications. And (b) I affixed tiny switches which trigger an audible alarm when a breaker trips. Crude
