A bit darker than I expected. Wasn't sure I wanted to watch it given how bleak and unpleasant it started, but luckily it was all leading to something thematically satisfying. A great film and I can see why it got so much hype. I don't really consider it a kid's film though.

Probably the best of the Disney live action remakes. It's both very similar to the original while also having a lot of changes, emphasizing and focusing on different details, combining and deleting characters, but still maintaining lots of heart and humor. Good flick. Competitive with the original.

Honestly one of the best comedy movies I've seen in years. Pretty consistently laugh out loud hilarious. The writing is really strong and the Jonas brothers pull off great performances here. It's a high recommendation if you're looking for a new comedy to watch.

Well-written pop punk with a j-rock edge from Cleveland, Ohio. Great hooks with incredibly tight performances. No notes, just a great album.

Zombies 4 is a weird legacy sequel because the old legacy characters are college freshmen. Good movie, big step up from Zombies 3. Nice messages and some fun musical numbers.

Does your character ship with any of the NPCs, and if so, which one(s)?

Cute little short that is extremely specific with the canon timeframe the short takes place in the timeline. Funny with some good jokes that balance the Lego theming and Frozen theming well. Better than expected.

folklore: the long pond studio sessions is a pretty straightforward film: Taylor and her co-writers perform folklore in its entirety for the first time in-person (remember this was a covid album) and in-between songs talk about the songwriting process. Great film for those interested in songcraft.

One of the worst films I've seen in my entire life and almost certainly the winner for the worst film score in any movie I've seen. The cringe level is off the charts. The writing and acting is bizarre. Essentially proof that conservatives are bad at making art.

The most predictable win in the history of the show, the latest season of the GBBO was still as charming and pleasant as always.

folklore was the album that really solidified Taylor Swift as a songwriter's songwriter and re-established her as an artist one could like even if they were "hip". The lyricism on the album is massive leap in quality and showcases a high level of creativity. Decently catchy too.

Great film that's absolutely worth the hype. Great writing, great acting, great music, great visuals, great action, great humor. There's more thematic depth to the film than one might guess from the title and I think that's why it has so much staying power. Loved it.

From the moment this short film begins it's pretty obvious where things are going to go. The emotional journey still hits at the right moments, but it's a little bit over the top in how artsy and hipster the direction is. I'm mixed on having the same actress play the protag the whole film.

"Animals of Arendelle: Lost and Found" is an animated short in the style of story book. The writing is a bit better than expected in terms of lore and Olaf's dialogue but you can really feel it's missing the original cast. If they're gonna do it, pay the money to the big 4.

Big Red Machine's self-titled debut is not my cup of tea. It's a bit too slow and plodding with repetitive and uninteresting musical hooks. The melodies aren't much to write home about and the lyrics are just okay. I wasn't really impressed with this one and it feels like it's trying to be hip.

"I Am Easy to Find" (the album) by The National didn't blow me away, but I admit I don't listen to this genre of music too often. The low register of a lot of the vocals and repetitious nature of the melodies didn't work for me when the lyrics are a mixed bag. Some great lyrical moments, tho.

Bittersweet tale of teenage love. Cute movie with a lot of heart. Hard to talk about with spoilers. It was good.

The Life of a Showgirl is a much more mellow and subtle album than I was expecting, but it's yet another strong outing by one of the GOATs.

A series of classic BTS concerts shown in theaters over the course of two weeks. I saw 3 of the 4 concerts and they were a fun time.
