Partitë opozitare në Kosovë, jo vetëm që kanë dështuar të ofrojnë një vizion konkurrues ndaj VV por ad perpetum, ato refuzojnë të marrin përsipër përgjegjësinë për dështimet e njëpasnjëshme, i rezistojnë reformave strukturore së brendshmi dhe në tërësi, u mungon integriteti dhe imagjinata.

Këtu s’kemi të bëjmë me një elektorat naiv apo të homogjenizuar idelogjikisht por me votues inteligjentë e kritikë, që votën e përdorin për të ndëshkuar po aq sa për të shpërblyer.

Nga ana tjetër, rezultati i lartë i VV dhe përkrahja e gjerë për Albin Kurtin nuk janë thjesht meritë e disiplinës së këtij subjekti politik por gjithashtu tregues të mungesës së një alternative politike bindëse.

What’s more, he led a campaign that politicized love in an age of structural hate: love for democracy and freedom, for religious and ethnic coexistence, for justice and human dignity.

There is an urgent need of principled politics worldwide and political role models who actually have a fucking backbone, who won’t compromise or submit to the pressure of the status quo. #Mamdani embodies precisely this kind of boldness: a politics rooted in conviction, not convenience.

Mamdani’s win isn’t just about him personally, but about what the movement sparked by #BernieSanders and which made Mamdani’s rise possible represents: a real alternative rooted in a courageous, reliable, uncompromising, and noble collective struggle.

It emerged from a year of conversations and debates with friends and acquaintances, during which I have noticed how nationalism is often rationalized or excused rather than openly condemned or critically challenged.
