When you think about it...
A digital comic. "The difference between chimp and human DNA is less than 1.2%" reads the first line. We see two profiles - human and chimp, between a helix dna strand design. Panel 2: A girl with dark hair sitting and reading a book. "And yet a chimp can not learn language the way a human can." Panel 3: A woman with glasses in front of a blackboard with formulas on it. "Can not understand mathematics or solve equations." Panel 4: An illustration of a solar system with rings of planets around it. "Can not know the complexities of theoretical physics." Panel 5: A hawk, looking off to the side. "Animals are talented in many ways we can never hope to achieve..." The last space is empty and white. Text reads: "...but we ultimately live in two very different worlds." They are like us, but there are many things we cannot explain to them. Panel 1: A dog in a bathtub, looking worried. A person is petting its chest and back comfortingly. "Fireworks won't hurt you." Panel 2: A cat, being force-fed medicine. "I'm doing this because it will make you feel better...!" Panel 3: A fox with its head stuck in a jar. Someone is holding the jar and trying to pull the fox out by the scruff. "I'm not trying to kill you, I'm trying to help!" Panel 5: "You cannot blame them for being scared." A darker scene of a room at night, with a person laying in bed, their back to the door. Their eyes are wide open, and they are clutching the pillow over their head. In the background, a dark creepy hand is visibly pulling the door open. "Fear is a natural reaction to things which are unfamiliar and confusing." The page is dark, depicting an empty room with a bed. The person on the bed is clutching the sheets and their pillow and nervously peeking out. The door behind them is more open now, and something dark and spindly, with two glowing dot eyes, is crawling through the crack and along the ceiling. More faces are seen in the hallway. "So sometimes I wonder... If there are things out there that are beyond even our own comprehension. Things that may scare us..." "Things that are just trying to help." The same dark room is still there. Now, the person in the bed has been pulled from it by the ankles, and though they are still clutching the pillow and blanket, they are being dragged across the floor, back towards the door. The spindly figure clinging to the wall is now joined by a friend, who is dragging the human. It has a speech bubble, and though the scratchy writing looks terrifying, it says: "Stop struggling, I'm saving your life!" "Josh, you're scaring it...!" says the first spindly dark figure, looking upset. Josh, who is yanking the human down towards the hall, continues: "Sorry buddy, but this house is leaking carbon monoxide... You're gonna die if you stay here."
