I took a week off #gamedev to spend time with wife and kiddo over Easter school holidays.
I'm now trying to figure out what was wrong with me a week ago. I'm looking at some of the stuff i have done very confused as to why.

Today my #gamedev adventure was fiddling with my player controller and trying to get Motion Matching to work better, after 8 hours, I have made 0 difference to anything and successfully gave myself a headache.

I have been working on a new Project with the placeholder Title: British Museum The Heist, BMTH. having some friends do some playtests, feedback was I thought this was something to do with Bring Me The Horizon. did not see that until now. really need to come up with a better title.

It perplexes me that the TikTok ban is even a thing. the hubris of the US to think it can dictate ownership of private enterprise, that a foreign entity would kowtow to their whims of Sinophobia masquerading as concerns for the user data. is bafflingly sad and funny all at once.

Things I wish all modern games had at launch:

⏸️ Being able to pause cutscenes
💾 AUTOSAVE
🎮 Remapping controls and buttons
🪖 Adjustable difficulty for each aspect of the gameplay
These just make games better in my opinion 🔥

The sudden rise of pearl clutching and fear mongering about a wave of right wing chud agitators invading, is really dumb and annoying to see, follow a couple block lists, block and report any harassers and set your account so log out visibility is off, really not difficult.
