An #Egyptian glass inlay of a jackal. Jackals were linked with the dead, because they were present in the desert regions near to the cemeteries. The most popular jackal-shaped god was Anubis, the god of embalming. Dating 5th -1st c. BC.

For any Museum Nerds out there in the world, I love to share this cool museum activity.
Square table top, soft felt fabric, rubber siding, obsidian, lapis lazuli, turquoise, quartz, plastic replica of ancient piece of class, a piece of clay on a metal rod, a spiny glass bead with eyeballs, a small glass urn, a metal tray with a foam pad on the bottom. Three pieces of plastic replicas are broken. Touching each of the three broken pieces you will feel bumps, handles, and magnets that will hold the piece together.
