ok coming down from the caitvi sex scene dopamine hit and i'm becoming cognisant again. overall season 2 was beautiful of course, but i have so many gripes with the writing. ultimately i think it all comes down to time and them trying to pack WAY too much into this season

I get the feeling there was a Corporate Need of ticking off boxes like - "if you want this extra budget, you're gonna need to make these list of things work for us" - and no one could push back on those asks.

Season 1 got to do some juggling but it succeeded because the A plot stakes weren't so bloody high, and it got to be its own thing.
