This was a very challenging semester for me and many of my students. Lots of loss and grief and frustration. But we got through it. We laughed every day and we supported each other. I have never been this ready for a long winter's nap. And I have never been sadder for my classes to end.

I cried through the entire Merrily screening, as I did when I saw it on Bway in 2024. Aside from Gussie From Another Planet, the show was so perfectly cast. Jonathan Groff is the most charming person on earth. Merrily was my Gateway Sondheim and I can't believe how deeply I felt it when I was 14.
