Rural queer software engineer.

Someone called me an omnipresent Internet gay know-it-all once in 2005.
Obama was to the right of Clinton on healthcare reform though.

Sanders was never going to win a Democratic primary anyway because he fails with Black voters, women voters, LGBTQ voters and really every demographic besides white men.

The process of handcrafting something can be very healing. So maybe there's a correlation there.

Mayor Wilson studied homelessness extensively before running. Literally traveled the world researching what works. A safe place to sleep is a really important step.

Some live action movies would probably be better if they were remade animated.

Imagine if killing a civilian in war games game caused you to instantly lose.

Yeah, I get that. My birthday is exactly one week before Christmas and I would always ask for money so I could buy Christmas presents with it. Now that I'm better off I tell family to just donate somewhere.

Maybe it's because I grew up in NH. I do like Shaker-style furniture. It's simple, but also looks sturdy because it's actually for people to use.

I mostly just think it's weird people need a special occasion to donate. But I guess some people need a reminder

I had family have to skip traveling for Thanksgiving because they don't know how much their insurance will cost. Like my sister-in-law who is self-employed with a kid with type 2 diabetes.

I think CEOs and a lot of other people at the top have been shown happy paths and best case scenarios with unlimited tokens. They all seem to think it can do things that in practice for the average user it cannot.

I asked AI to do a simple task multiple times the other day and it was like that meme where the Mom keeps telling the kid "It's hot on the bottom"

I have no idea what that's supposed to mean.

In capitalism companies reduce their workforce to maintain shareholder profits. They will layoff workers before they take a cut. Risk and reward exists no matter who owns what. The question is who carries the risk and who gets the reward.

Commerce existed before capitalism. What do you mean by engaging in capitalism? Were they trading stocks?
November 26, 2025 at 7:43 AM
That's just democracy. The point is the workers are the shareholders. Profits from underpaying workers aren't siphoned off to billionaire shareholders that don't do any of the labor.

Capitalism is owning the means of production. E.g. Capitalists own the factories and offices and pay employees less than the value of their labor so they can and pocket the rest. Private ownership of labor is just slavery.

Workers can own a company without a centralized government.

Did those people specifically express a dislike of capitalism or just not liking working for someone else? There are small businesses that share ownership and profits.
