This monster, despite appearances, greedily hoards them all away.

The "stench" of fear is intoxicating to them, similar to a shark with blood. The chance you'd incite Grue's interest in hunting you exponentially increases with how little you're able to compose your fear.

In a high enough quantity, it can induce an equivalent of a "high". Grue will become drunk.

When this happens I never know whether I should be uncomfortable or amused. It's weird & embarrassing to get singled out (but I also understand why), but it's also kinda funny to see them realize their mistake.
