The thing I'm really tired of that's happening on that other social media platform is the cyclical discourse about art (movies, games, book, etc). Something gets praised, then reevaluated by others and called overhyped trash, then defended, trashed again and so on.

I'll definitely play Silent Hill 2 remake when it's out on the platform I own (the original game is one of my favourites, if not THE one), but every time I hear about its combat, combo moves and dodging with i-frames, something in me dies permanently.

I’ve been thinking about why the Terrifier franchise has become such a pop culture staple, considering how out there and shocking the actual movies are. They’re technically not what you’d consider mainstream. They’re flawed and gratuitously in-your-face. Sometimes they can even be boring.

I watched I Saw The TV Glow for the first time recently, and it utterly horrified me. I didn’t know anything about the movie besides its basic premise. The depth of existential horror it dives into was stunning.

Don’t think any explicitly scary imagery could have affected me more.

Rewatched the original Speak No Evil before checking out the remake. Let's just say I gained a new appreciation for the oppressive atmosphere of the 2022 movie, its subtle beauty, unapologetic boldness and outright dread. Hope more people will watch it eventually
