Today, the first #boardgame by The Seahorse & The Hummingbird is born. No more tweaking. No more editing. No more testing. No more feedback.

Pyrotechnics *is*. 🎆

To celebrate, I'll share the Pyrotechnics design diary by @backwardscapgames.bsky.social. It's a good read. Have a look.

If you’re into solo board gaming, you gotta check out Pencil Book Quest by @grumpyspidergames.bsky.social

🤣

My childhood punishment was Aggravation. Seriously, who thought naming a game ‘Aggravation’ was a good idea?!

🚨 RED ALERT 🚨

Pencil Book Quest is now live on Kickstarter!!!

An open, ring-bound notebook folded over to show a single page. The page shows a level of Pencil Book Quest. Left of the notebook is a hex pencil with pips so the pencil can double as a die. Behind the notebook is a partially visible bookmark for storing stats. The words "Live on Kickstarter" are above.

Your concerns are understandable, and we try to be as international-friendly as possible.

Games will be shipped by backer number regardless of location.

Unfortunately, tracking will be limited, since better tracking is much more expensive. However, anything lost is resent free of charge one time.

Always good to keep in mind — when you see "big" crowdfunding numbers, that's mostly just big expenses.

It's never safe to assume any company or project is "rolling in the dough" so much as frantically trying to make the dough provided turn into bread while not setting the bakery on fire.

Awesome, let me message you the details!
grumpyspidergames.bsky.social
Yeah, that really stinks. Hopefully it gets resolved quickly.

Facebook deleted your account?! I'll never understand them...

Either way, Bluesky messages seem to be working now!
grumpyspidergames.bsky.social
It doesn't look like I can message you. Maybe you have them turned off?

I also thought I might just shoot you message on FB, but it doesn't seem to be letting me there either!
grumpyspidergames.bsky.social
Sure, let me send you a message!

PBQuest is a solo, pencil-&-paper adventure made for playing anywhere. Fight monsters and complete quests in a book that slips into a pocket or bag.

The game uses a pencil-based mechanic where randomness comes from your own aim and coordination. This simple system adds a fun tactile challenge!
