The boneset is a hit, and very easy to grow. I planted it this year and it's very healthy with just a bit of supplemental watering at the start. It's been ignored by rabbits and deer as well.

It's attracting a lot more flies and wasps than bees or butterflies, not that that's a bad thing!

This is why I’m optimistic about energy innovation:

It took the global solar industry 68 years to reach 1 terawatt (TW) of installed power, from the first commercial silicon solar cell in 1954 to 2022.

The next 1TW was delivered in only two additional years from 2023 to 2024.

If you plant it, they will come! I counted six monarch caterpillars on my swamp milkweed today, and one looked like it was in the process of making a cocoon.

Also, did you know that swamp milkweed has flowers that smell like vanilla? 🌱 #NativeGardening #Gardening

First harvest of the season. I'm a pretty lazy gardener so I love perennial crops. Blueberries and raspberries on the way too, and hoping to plant a couple apple trees this summer 🌱 #gardening

Blooming Wild Ginger! The flower of this native plant is easy to miss as it's on the ground, hidden by its leaves. It's pollinated ants and other crawling insects, and is hardy and easy to grow 🌱
