In Danish (“Kongeriget Danmark”), the historical use was in the context of the Kingdom’s relations with other entities, either foreign states or other lands of the Danish king. Within the kingdom, one often didn’t speak of it as such. The two constitutions of 1849 and 1855 have super careful usage.

What you hear about China being very safe is true, but there were still 5,144 homicides, 5,524 robberies, 707,848 larcenies and 39,995 rapes. Fraud is huge, 1.3 million cases.

Government revenue is now 46/54% central/local, expenditures are 14/86% central/local. Lots of block grants and other financing to local governments still.

It does, and you do see that in the chart (and in the polling), but more modestly compared to the generations born after the war.
