It's not about standing in their way and denying them hope, but if they are denying actual treatment and sending their family broke to pursue bullshit, yes I will do everything in my power. I survived with surgery, they died with coffee enemas and fruit juice and sent their family broke.
And if a loved one is given a grim prognosis, are you REALLY going to stand in the way of their hope? Are you gonna deny them that one straw they can grasp?
I’ve never been in that situation, but I don’t know if I could do that. And I’m a massive asshole skeptic about everything.
