“Australian travellers have given the Trump presidency a resounding thumbs down,” writes Greg Jericho, Chief Economist at The Australia Institute.

The US is reaching pre-French Revolution levels of #inequality.

The Australian govt could continue down the American path, and give more fuel to One Nation and the far-right.

Or do the necessary policy reform.

If the govt is serious about 'social cohesion', *this* is where to focus. #auspol
Mark Zandi: The K-shaped economy is becoming more K-shaped. That’s the message in our updated estimate of personal outlays by income group. The share of total outlays going to those in the top 20% of the income distribution—making over $175k per year nationwide—increased to nearly 60% in Q32025.

1. These are concentration camps, whose purpose is ethnic cleansing and state terror.

2. Democrats not calling to abolish ICE are complicit with fascists.

3. Any govt who fails to condemn the Trump regime's behaviour at home and abroad is complicit with fascists.

That's you @albomp.bsky.social.
This is the sixth death in ICE custody in 18 days. This isn’t enforcement, it’s a system that cages people, outsources care, and shrugs when they die. Abolish ICE.

The phrase "board of peace" to cover for ethnic cleansing of Gaza
comes from the same colonialist spin merchants as
"non-lethal components" for the F-35s we help to bomb Palestinians.
This is beyond the pale.
Trump's "board of peace" is a sham to formalise the genocide, and against all intl law. The Albanese govt has no right to make Australia complicit.

Our national embarrassment.

Trump & Hegseth sycophant Marles needs to explain how any dealings with the Sundowning Stalin is in Australia's interests.

Starting with the farce that is #AUKUS. #auspol
Trump is trying to sell Palestinian sovereignty for $1 billion per seat while Palestinians are still being bombed and starved under the so-called “ceasefire.”

This isn’t diplomacy, it’s profiteering off genocide. Australia better not touch this with a 10-foot pole.

Like most other western leaders, Carney refers to the "humanitarian crisis in Gaza" and the need for "unimpeded aid flows", but not once does he mention "Israel".

As if they have nothing to do with the ongoing #GazaGenocide.

No wonder the apartheid rogue state has been getting away with murder.

Israel continues its #GazaGenocide - with less noise, but deadly effect.
Hedaya Al-Kafarna, 55, is living on the ground floor of a building that appears close to collapse.

The letter is awful on so many levels.

And a stark example of how "social cohesion" is used as a mealy-mouthed cover to silence those who dare to challenge the cosy status quo, by questioning racism against Palestinians, the Israeli rogue state, or the Israel lobby's advocacy for a foreign power.

With LNP and One Nation distracted with squabbling over votes on the populist right and far-right,
would it be too much to ask that Albanese and Labor did a bit of...you know...at least slightly progressive policy reform? #auspol
After a month of the Coalition in full national security mode being as populist & political as they could be post-Bondi…their vote collapsed.

The LNP are not only way behind Labor but they’re now behind One Nation
