With LNP and One Nation distracted with squabbling over votes on the populist right and far-right,
would it be too much to ask that Albanese and Labor did a bit of...you know...at least slightly progressive policy reform? #auspol
After a month of the Coalition in full national security mode being as populist & political as they could be post-Bondi…their vote collapsed.

The LNP are not only way behind Labor but they’re now behind One Nation

The fight between Coalition & One Nation will keep them both out of power

We get more than enough from News Corp, Nine and ABC platforming Israel lobbyists as if they represent all Australian Jews.

Would be great, @australia.theguardian.com, if you got more views from @jewishcouncilau.bsky.social and other bodies who are not aligned with a genocidal foreign power.
Sorry @australia.theguardian.com but this person is certainly not my leader and (as a Jew) extremist Zionist lobby groups like the ECAJ certainly don't represent me either.

🧵, especially:

"There are existing powers to ban neo-Nazis and other groups that incite violence. We have repeatedly asked why these powers have not already been used against neo-Nazis and not had adequate answers."

Labor failing to review current law confirms this latest effort is performative.
Labor are still trying to get the Coalition to support dangerous proposals to amend the Migration Act and allow the Home Affairs Minister to ban organisations and criminalise membership of those organisations. These changes are bad and the Greens stand with the community to oppose them.

What Jane said. In addition, SA Premier:

- makes unfounded accusations of antisemitism and "denying cultural safety" against Dr Randa Abdel-Fattah
- notes she has been "widely criticized in the media" [NewsCorp?]
- ignores any due process
- has strengthened Dr Abdel-Fattah's legal case against him.
The Advertiser has the letter Malinauskas wrote to the board of Adelaide Festival. It is very hard to see how this is not a direction to remove Abdel-Fattah, despite a line saying board decisions are independent. drive.google.com/file/d/169Pi...

If only the Albanese government would look at foreign and defence policy with the same realism as Australians looking at overseas travel.

For many of us outside the US,
it is astounding that the Mango Mussolini still has the support of 40% of voters.
In a new CNN poll, 58% of Americans say Trump's first year has been a failure. That number is at two-thirds for independents. This is significant, in that it's a counter to his direct narrative.

It's not talking disapproval - it's talking FAILURE.

Its members are war criminals, property developers [aka ethnic cleansers], grifters, genocide profiteers and Trump sycophants.
