Brazilian public universities have some peculiarities. One of them is that all permanent faculty are tenure-track and hold job stability—they can't be dismissed unless for serious misconduct, which is extremely rare.

Interesting to see these big name universities absolutely crumble and cave — halting admissions, altering faculty labs’ websites, and basically being a bunch of collaborators. Almost like that’s what they were really about all along. Almost like those billions in endowments aren’t for education.

Com a nova política de não verificação de conteúdo da Meta, espero que mais gente venha pro bsky, Mastodon etc. E como fazer com o Whatsapp? É uma porcaria ser dependente dessas grandes empresas, e não acho que o Telegram seja uma opção.
