About time a national newspaper reported fully on *this* Trump genocide, which may kill 4 million by 2030. I understand why US ones don't, but others should concentrate as much on the lethal impact of US foreign aid cuts as on his so-called 'diplomacy'.

Miłosz started writing this about 3 months ago and it's been a bit overtaken by events. But the message still holds, Europe won't see 'the End of AIDS' till eastern Europe does.

This is the nostra-culpa article I've been waiting for from the Telegraph. In its own way quite daring; unequivocally draws a parallel between Trump 2025 and Hitler 1939, & the Molotov-Ribbentrop pact. Also says 2010s Austerity was a disastrous mistake.

If Trump keeps going as he seems to intend, the rest of the world will either have to do without America - which implies uniting against it - or *become* America. So much for sovereignty?

It's popular with me. Except that the best poetry also talks precisely about precise things, too. Just differently.
Not sure how popular it'll be but I thought this one was pretty good.

My BlueSky feed's already getting deluged with tacky AI pics from tacky AI accounts. Today: a flood of cute pics of foxes (I'll probably get more now). But at least they're more jarringly different from real posts than on FB & are getting called out more by real people. Best we can hope for I guess.

Gilead's HIV prevention shot, Lenacapavir, is going to go annual.

Once a year has always been, for me, the threshold for a medication that's functionally the same as an annual vaccine. Like the ones we have for flu or COVID.

The extraordinarily non-reverential reaction to the whacking of that Health Insurance CEO among US friends and FoFs here, has even got into the UK news... It suggests to me BlueSky is getting real traction as a site for people angry about the right things rather than the wrong things. Bravo.

I'm not very active here yet because I'm sizing the place up and seeing what goes down. Even before X became a horrorshow I never quite got it - its lack of easy interactivity always felt like shouting into the void. I love discussions, not assertions, & hope this will be better for conversations.

When I joined That Other Site 15 years ago I was:
"Ex-alien who settled for earth. Ex-singer, bus conductor, hustler and barman. Failing to die of AIDS, ended up as a writer, activist and psychotherapist."
The only thing that's changed is I stopped being a therapist and re-started singing.
