Il y a quand même toute une partie de la population qui est très critique du changement de fonctionnement de l’état à partir de cette date ici. On considère qu’il y a un avant et après les années 90, avec cette libéralisation de la société.

And then will side with you of course. And you’re back in the regular process. But it’s a bit sad (but not surprising) that the admin will by default try to not follow the law, and hope that people don’t appeal.

In practice, the immigration agency sends you back a letter saying “sorry it’s an important decision to make so we won’t honor your request to conclude we need more time”. But you can appeal (you simply write back saying “I appeal”). And then that’ll go to the administrative court.
