Homer initially uses the remote to "improve" life in Springfield, attempting to create a paradise with things like giant raining donuts and endless supplies of Squishies, but his irresponsible actions quickly lead to widespread destruction and instability, turning the townspeople against him. Weekly animated shorts released on Disney+ and in-game advance the narrative, showing the escalating chaos, which manifests in the game through map changes and new gameplay elements. Eventually, overwhelmed by the negative consequences and angry townsfolk, Homer tries to dispose of the Zero Point shard by tossing it into a radioactive fuel pool at the Springfield Nuclear Power Plant. This causes a massive explosion of purple goo that covers parts of the map and creates an army of zombie-like Homer clones, which descend upon the town. The Homer clones roam the map, surrounding giant floating donuts and attacking players, presenting a new in-game challenge. In the final phase, the essence of the defeated clones coalesces into a colossal, kaiju version of Homer in his underwear, with the Zero Point Shard lodged in his chest. This giant Homer goes on a destructive rampage, setting the stage for the season-ending "Zero Hour" live event where various heroes (including other crossover characters like Godzilla and the Bride from Kill Bill) must join forces to battle the towering, mindless Homer and the terrifying cosmic creature to prevent further devastation. The immediate future of Fortnite is centered around the conclusion of Chapter 6 with the highly anticipated "Zero Hour" live event, scheduled for November 29, 2025, at 2 PM ET. This event is expected to be a massive, cinematic multiversal battle where various crossover characters, including Godzilla, the Bride from Kill Bill, and the kaiju-sized Homer Simpson, assemble to fight the "Dark Presence". Following this finale Fortnite Chapter 7 will launch, introducing a brand-new, Nevada/Hollywood-inspired map

In the second level of The Simpsons: Hit & Run, the player takes on the role of Bart Simpson in Downtown Springfield, where the immediate goal is to acquire the new Bonestorm 2 video game. The plot begins with Bart skipping school and having to evade Principal Skinner on his way to the Try-N-Save, only to find the last copy is gone, destroyed by a "crazy lady" (Marge in the previous level). This initial quest quickly devolves into a series of unrelated errands for various Springfield residents, including collecting illegal fireworks for Kearney, Otto, Moe, and Ralph, while avoiding Chief Wiggum. The main thread reappears when Comic Book Guy tells Bart that Professor Frink has purchased all the remaining copies of the game. Bart seeks out Frink at the Springfield Stadium, who reveals he needs the game's "violence" to power his new invention: a giant monster called Truckasaurus. Bart agrees to help Frink gather the necessary components: a WWII-era radio won from Snake in a race, a satellite dish obtained from Cletus in exchange for collecting roadkill (or "flatmeat"), and a blender acquired from Dr. Nick after wrangling his escaped test monkeys. Finally, to ensure the monster's proper function without cell phone interference, Bart must destroy the cars of cell phone users around the stadium. Once all conditions are met, Bart enters the stadium to see the Truckasaurus, but a nearby wasp camera causes the robot to malfunction and attack him. Bart narrowly escapes the stadium, only to be abruptly abducted by a mysterious green tractor beam from a UFO, leaving his vehicle behind and providing the main link to the overarching alien conspiracy storyline of the game.
