Yes, it is conceivable that Trump could manufacture some pretext to cancel the election. But Dems would challenge that in court. There is nothing in the constitution that permits the cancellation of an election and never has. Of course, with this corrupt Supreme Court, anything is possible.

The latest Gallup poll has Trump at 36% approval/60% disapproval. Other polls show similar results. He is horrendously unpopular. It seems likely that Dems will take control of the House in 2027. Trump will be hamstrung at that point. Still, Trump is causing tremendous damage, perhaps irreparable.
