Furthermore some alternative medicine is not even natural. Homeopathy is sugar pills manufactured in France. I know because I took them for a few months.

None of these points are accurate, you're fundamentally misunderstanding what they're saying.

They are not denying the abuses that happened in these programs. What they are saying is that calling these facilities "alternative" therapies paints them as lacking an institutional support that they/

absolutely had.

Many of the parents who found these programs were referred to them by mainstream institutions, such as judges and school guidance counselors, and the mainstream American psychological industry considered some of them as legitimate psychiatric institutions.

Our lead therapist would push medications and "evidence-based therapy" and villify people who were skeptical as crazy. The program was licensed and approved by the givernment. There's nothing "alternative" about the TTI. @nicktaber.bsky.social

How about you understand that Troubled Teen Industry programs were mainstream and never "alternative"? Because my program was certified by the state, inspected and passed. Our program director was a huge pill pusher who insulted alternative medicine.
