The futures uncertain and the end is always near.
Maybe consider the part the Met Office played, they categorised Storm Bert as yellow, hence many agencies and people acted accordingly. In my opinion it should have been upgraded to an amber alert or even possibly red with the amount of rain that deluged south Wales this weekend.

⚠️ Pontypridd has been hit by devastating floods and our wonderful independent bookshop, Storyville Books, has seen much of its stock destroyed.

If you’re able to buy a book from them, this would go such a long way to help support them rebuild in the aftermath.

Support local creators

#BuyLocal
With Black Friday and Christmas adverts rammed down our throats since October, be a rebel this year and support local where you can. Whether it's a token or gift, it’s essential for our high streets to survive and hopefully thrive ✍️ @stephenpricenc.bsky.social wp.me/p8Mk4U-QZA

Miserable, miserable weather in Wales today, throwback picture of a nicer day.

It’s a day to be cwtched up by the fire with a book - what are you reading today?

Not very often I’m lost for words but … 🤣🤣

Stumbled on the lighting-up of Venice’s Christmas tree and the choir is singing… Your Own Personal Jesus. I cried with laughter (but at least he gets a mention, they did Mariah twice)

Switch the tea for coffee and it’s sounds like a wonderful weekend 😍

#books #weekend
I don't know who needs to hear this, but if all you accomplish this weekend is reading a riveting novel cover-to-cover whilst drinking multiple kettles of tea and consuming a scandalous amount of croissants, then you will have accomplished more than enough.

The biggest con of this century is persuading people to give up physical media. Keep the books, your vinyl, even the cassettes and CDs. #books #vinyl #cassettes #CDs
If the books you love are even remotely political, buy physical copies of those books like yesterday. Don't rely on Kindle/Audible. It won't take much for Jeff Bezos to have books removed from Kindle/Audible. Even the ones you "own." Because you never think they will, until they do 📚 #BookSky
