A gold replica of a crown worn by a king who was overthrown and executed for corruption. 😂😬
South Korea did that.

I think we don't disagree but are debating definitions. You clearly have a different definition of "self insurance". We agree on the target. Cheers. 😀

If he and his crowd had done their jobs properly over the previous decades, we would not be here now. Massive fail by the old guard. Useless idiots.

"And the govt can" control "costs"
D'oh
November 15, 2025 at 2:00 AM
Perhaps you meant government as single payer rather than "self insure".
Self insure is more libertarian and is precisely why the US pays twice as much per capita for healthcare that is not even close to universal.
November 15, 2025 at 1:59 AM
Other countries don't "Self insure".
They maintain a healthcare system through taxation. Same as roads, schools, and other infrastructure. There are various flavors and mixes but the essential bit is that everyone gets basic healthcare paid by one payer, the government. And the govt can costs.
November 15, 2025 at 1:56 AM
You folks need a fully funded public healthcare system that eliminates all the healthcare insurance providers and replaces them with a single payer system from taxes. It is way cheaper and universal. No pay at point of treatment. When will you get it??

People who are dying of treatable conditions that are denied coverage will not always go down quietly. Many will, some might not. This is very poor planning for the life expectancy of the folks denying coverage. 1789 solution.
I mean, we had a great series "Breaking Bad" on precisely this issue.

It is because we don't have the æ in the alphabet anymore.
& was once part of the alphabet. "æ" is a slightly different sound than "e".

Yup. The type that even if you feel for and try to befriend, it fails because they are just totally unlikeable/dysfunctional.

Pierre Poilievre served for more than 15 years as a parliamentary pit bull, sniper. That is the limit of his skill set. He will never be introspective and cannot stop being an obnoxious prick. He is what he is. I keep hearing pundits suggest he recalibrate. He can't. He is one dimensional.

The level of lawyer incompetence was staggering as I got to know more support staff, either as personal friends or business clients. 😬😂
Now they will use AI instead, so expect another wave of slop.

Legal secretaries used to cover for a lot of incompetence and illiteracy by their higher paid bosses.

I've explained to my kids and co-workers: "Don't put anything in an email or text you are not prepared to have read outload to your boss or a court."
