I really enjoyed this when I played the remake this year (or was it last). But tbf, I never played the original so wasn't coming at it from that perspective. 2 Remake is of course superior.

Oh for sure, I call it a portable pS6 because its part of their two-pronged release for the next gen (if rumours are to be believed). It will run PS5 games.
