Everyone needs to identify what they can do. It depends on their personal circumstances and resources. My focus is on very specific things I can do. If I am not in a position to do something, can I help those who are?

I am American, but have spent time in places with repressive regimes. I am armed & will defend myself, but I believe that consistent non-violent resistance is more effective to drive change. My family is involved in a strong well organized community network. We help each other & grow larger each day

At the protest in front of the Whipple building, little man comes out surrounded by his minions. They set off flash bangs, shoot pepper balls and rubber bullets, and tackle random protesters then go back inside. It timed like a demented cuckoo clock.

In my small MN town we dropped down to about 30-40 protesters a week from Thanksgiving to New Year’s. Last week we jumped to over 250. We also had some MAGA agitators who left in a huff when they failed to bait us.

That was how these women felt until the 2024 election. They quickly realized they were going to be on their own. When there are leaders talking about going door to door, we need to protect ourselves.

I know several women, who were flower children in the 1960’s, get conceal carry permits and started going to the range in 2025.

Agreed, it’s scary how many I’ve encountered. They keep trying to bait us at peaceful protests. The more the administration is challenged the more unhinged they become.

We had a gem approach us at the weekly protest. Started strong by calling us idiots. He wanted to “engage in honest debate” while regurgitating OAN and FOX talking points. When we refused to be baited, he left in a huff.

I live in the rural Midwest. We have a maga mayor. In 2025, there have been more murders, burglaries, and felony vandalism within 0.5 miles of my house than my godson had in his Chicago neighborhood. He loves fear mongering.

I would like to see more and see more coverage on them. There is a weekly protest in my red, rural Midwest town. Neighboring towns also have protests. My 86 yo uncle attends a weekly protest in his deeply red town 1,800 miles away. The ratio of 👍🏻to🖕🏻is now 20:1. It was 10:1 just a few months ago.

It would have been nice if anyone cared at the time. Pageants paid for a good friend’s college. It wasn’t just him “inspecting” The girls were told to show him affection, by doing so they improved their chances of winning or getting noticed.
