My father, who served in the latter part of WW2, and the Occupation of Germany until ‘51, told me about what happened afterwards, and had me read this book, when I was 10! He was 1st gen German-American, fluent in German. He saw what happens, when nationalism ruins the nation that clings to it.

I’m hopeful- as always- but wary. Pep and his side can be very brutal, from here on out, but they have some issues that have them where they’re at. Emery has a side that may or may not hold together well enough to be a factor. The next five down, are effectively out of the chase.
