I feel like much of US history can be summed up with a single image.

That's when you take off your t-shirt and tie it around said water puppy's snout with solid knots.

Hope you learned how to put solid knots in t-shirts and didn't get the pre-destroyed shirt because it 'looked cooler'.

NGL, using AV1 is one of the best way to give the middle finger to the MPEG-LA.

May they rot in hell.

The fact that so many different people just glide over Ukraine's views, essentially granting them no agency, is one of the great under appreciated facts of this war.

It's why everyone, your master strategist included, is so swivel eyed with wonder when they remind us they have it.

Yeah, the US was supposed to have learned from Abu Ghraib... yet here we are.

The US desperately wants to be as despicable as Putin's Russia, it seems.

Yeah, I have it running on one RPi 2B system, and I'm tinkering with using it in diskless mode on Zero boards for embedded things. It's a really nice distro for this and other embedded things :)

Grandpa clearly needs to retire to bed. And maybe to a quiet golf course where he can pretend to play golf all day while everyone lets gramps win.

Somehow this feels even worse than in '99 & early 2000s when it still felt like some people were trying. But then the Distro Explosion began and everyone just wandered off to do their own thing with 'Linux'.

But I guess WiFi sorta works on Linux now. Yay.

Sometimes I wonder whether the people who write software for Linux have ever actually used a PC like a normal person who just wants to, like, use one of those bleedin' things for simple productivity.

Same just now with KDE's Okular. Installed it for reading PDFs, ePubs, etc., but it cannot open the first ePub I try, despite it being listed on the site:

okular.kde.org/formats/

Of course, problem is installing the 'okular' package and not also 'okular-extra-formats'. Obviously.
Document Format Handlers Status
Multi-platform, fast and packed with features, Okular allows you to read PDF documents, comics and EPub books, browse images, visualize Markdown documents, and much more.

Can confirm that installing all the LibreOffice backends resolves the issue.

Why the meta package doesn't install any backends absolutely beggars belief.

Doesn't matter what you try on Linux, there's always a ticket for it on a bug tracker or forum somewhere that makes you want to smother a penguin with a thick, soft, comfortable pillow.

So if you install LibreOffice on RPi OS via its own package manager, using the primary 'libreoffice' package, you get installed a b0rked LibreOffice version, with the solution being (a) get yelled at and (b) install different package?

Geniuses, the lot of 'em.

Oh...

"The problem appears to be: "installed LibreOffice via APT", as this doesn't install the libreoffice-gtk3 package required for Wayland integration."

This is incredibly dumb.

I don't know if this is a LibreOffice issue or a labwc, But Raspberry Pi is the "System Integrator" so maybe they can figure it out This has also been posted on the LibreOffice Forum and the Raspbe...

Guess this is me ditching RPi OS and using Alpine Linux or something instead on the RPi 3B.

Can't possibly be a worse experience. </famous last words>

:D

I wouldn't say it's 'horror' as such, unless you count 'modern society' as a horror genre. In which case, fair.
