I used to live, in Spain, with an Italian who used 2 in translation
Enough times that I assumed it was a normal Spanish phrase he'd picked up, so I adopted it
Then, when it garnered confused reactions, I put that down to my pronunciation
But now I understand what actually happened

There's a benign-intended version of giving the Israeli reaction to any event involving non-Israeli Jews (not applicable to Bondi, Israelis were amongst the victims, Macron's statement also given prominence)
A malign one assuming any Jew supports Bibi, which is certainly a fringe (but real) posture
