Could have even started Countdown on Oct 31 and just had all 24 new movies, 3/week, Fri-Sat-Sun. CHERRY LANE sequels for 6 PM Fri-Sun Thanks week double feature.

Reality Mondays. Series Thursdays. And, promote heck out of TWELVE DATES 'TIL CHRISTMAS Thanksgiving Day debut.

Still surprised TWELVE DATES 'TIL CHRISTMAS not getting splashier/earlier roll out. Hallmark holiday ratings usually highest Nov 15-Dec 15, peaking near Thanksgiving. While DATES launches in latter half of range (12/5), doesn't finish until 12/19, very late in season, with only 2 weeks to build buzz

To be fair...Autumn on Apple Hill is AMAZING
and...I don't care about football or birding...so it wasn't as much of a lure as apple picking and traditional hometown halloween...even if I do like the actors.
sleepykittypaw.bsky.social
With one weekend to go before Christmas movies kick in, Hallmark's last non-holiday title, HOME TURF, earned 1.074M live + same day viewers. Up just slightly from last week's numbers, but still down 58% year over year, when AUTUMN AT APPLE HILL had 1.7M, which is…extremely not good.

tbh I didn't even know GAF existed until I started following your account. Now I give my husband and bestie tea on them every time you post so thank you for the updates and entertainment

Frog said, “Would you like me to tell you a story, Toad? “

“Yes,” said Toad, “if you know one.”

turning out really well
next time I will put in corn (didn't have any this time) and also would be better with some sour cream when serving. Notes taken and this has been added to our dinner rotation.

Feeling better than I did yesterday but still sick so trying to take it easy today

Dinner is chicken, white beans, salsa, whatever veg I find in the fridge, cream cheese, bone broth, and a bunch of spices tossed in the crockpot. Will serve over rice.

I just saw someone use the abbreviation “AI;DR” and I’ll be laughing for a while.

There are 6 other main characters in this Christmas romance series, all with their own motivations. Evie is the FMC for book 2 and Holly the FMC for book 4.
hallmarkhousewife.bsky.social
Evie loves Tinsley House as a historian and a romantic. If it falls she will have to leave town for work or work for the local rich family with bad rep.

Holly is a clumsy baker who lives in her perfect cousin Ivy's shadow. Nows her chance to shine.

#PlotTober Day 7: Main character motivations

Answer the prompt on the card by quoting this post. Remember, answering a prompt is always optional. Even if you don't share it publicly, I hope the prompt encourages you to think about it privately.

7. Now that you've come up with some goals for your main character, ask yourself: why do they care? What are some potential motivations for pursuing these goals, even against their better judgment or self-interest?

Remember: Use the #PlotTober hashtag, engage with others, and have fun!

I'm writing a 4 novelette series this fall so I'll just share a couple

Evie's goal is to save historic Tinsley House by raising $42k to fix its foundation.

Holly's goal is to prove to her family bakery she has what it takes by baking for a major event at Kingsley Lodge.

6. Main characters are driven by actionable goals, but not every goal is created equal. For your MC, they should be specific, tangible, personal, achievable, and urgent. Can you think of some goals for your MC that meet this criteria?

Remember: Use the #PlotTober hashtag, engage with others, and have fun!

fingers crossed
I think it should mean less plot edits? maybe?
I find I have less moments of "I have no idea what I am doing" during the actual writing process.
No excuses - i have a writing plan that would make a virgo blush.

really hope not. my kid's bday is this week and he's already worried that I won't be able to participate much less that it wont spread to him and my husband. ugh
