I feel brioche charts could be much improved by removing all of the extraneous rows between the pattern rows, and using a consistent symbol for each column instead of mapping out whether it’s a brk/brp or sl1yo for that specific square.

Same here. I do occasionally have to add an entry for a design, or look up information on a pattern, but I don’t use the forums anymore. I also very rarely buy a pattern there when a designer’s checkout cart doesn’t think the mailing address it nabbed from my PayPal is valid and won’t complete.

Assuming I didn’t damage those cables, this means that getting a functional Switch Lite again might be as simple as going back in and reseating two cables. (But I still have to remove a lot of screws and reapply thermal paste in the process, so it’s not an entirely trivial operation.)

However, the screen didn’t light up, but that means that I know which specific cables I should be looking at when I go back in. (When I thought it wouldn’t power up at all, the potential culprit was *anything* I had to unseat and reseat when I replaced the fan and analog sticks.)

I bet she’s also going to be disappointed if the wheel ever does get assembled, and finds that it doesn’t magically turn batts, roving, or whatever into yarn without any effort on her part.

Also, I have the yarn I need, and a knit Dugga Doo plushie design is in the works.

Perhaps it might be long enough to work with a hook or button post-blocking, but I doubt it’s going to be long enough to tie. Although a fancy closure could certainly be a fun twist. /end

At the top, the middle panel is bound off, and the two bias “wings” are worked outwards. The reason for the difference in length is that I got tired of working both sides at once while I was watching a show I needed to focus more on. /continued

I haven’t bound off either tip, hence why they’re connected by several inches of yarn (I was working from both end of the ball at once. It’s an unusual construction worked up from the bottom of the shawl, with the side panels biased. /continued

I’m a bit surprised I ran out of yarn, because although my gauge isn’t a perfect match (bit wider stitchwise, but row gauge spot on), I had about 80 more yards than the pattern required, and I tend to use less yarn than patterns call for. And this wool is a bit like Fixation (stretchy!)
