It was a great year of restoration at Captain Cornelius Park! Volunteers removed invasive Common Buckthorn, making space for 450 native trees and shrubs. Thank you Carolinian Canada Coalition for financial support, City of Hamilton for debris removal and trees, and volunteers for your hard work 💚

Our #volunteers are restoring nature, one invasive plant at a time! 💪

Thank you to all who joined our fall invasive shrub pulls at the nature sanctuaries. These events and other invasive species removal work was made possible thanks to the Invasive Species Centre's Invasive Species Action Fund.

It was a lovely day to go #birding on Saturday with HNC President Jackson Hudecki. Participants were treated to a dozen Turkey Vultures feasting on dead salmon, Northern Mockingbirds, Eastern Bluebirds, a juvenile Bald Eagle, and more! #HamOnt
