There is no accountability by the provinces. Audits show that they underspend on the intended purposes and divert huge amounts to costly private services, but there seem to be no consequences. People keep re-electing conservatives provincially.

It's dreadful. All his 'work' is behind the scenes in private and at fundraisers. But opposition in the legislature doesn't seem to make much difference anyway. The Libs and NDP need to keep the pressure on between sittings, too.
