Not the same as 2025 new. Also some of the early Chinese panels were shit. Gains have been made in efficiency, wattage, low light and high temp performance. Google it.

Panels are better and cheaper. Want more KWh per metre of valuable roof space. Some replacing smaller systems now cost down.

Well this is what is happening in Australia. Many people had small 2KW systems installed installed as prices have come down, have increased to 6KW or more. The new panels are better in many ways including efficiency so not sure where you get that from.

Source was this Podcast which is a good source of info in Aus. They are coming off because of better tech and good sales I would assume. Not because they don’t have 20 years left in them.
