Been saying it for years... Republicans don't hate Iran/Syria/etc. because of their religion; they hate Iran because those governments can shit on their people with impunity, and it makes Republicans envious.

I've never thought of the US as a force for good, but I recognize that I am in the distant minority.
I consider the US to be a force for whatever is in the best interest of the US leader. The difference now versus, say 30 years ago, is that the US leader is clearly only in it for himself.

One of the problems with "F35 wins" is that there was discussion about the evaluation being wired for the F-35 to win.
Personally, I recognize some of the tech superiority of the F-35, but I'm not convinced it can operate in some of the necessary conditions in Canada (like in the arctic).
