The Championship is a hard slog. It's hard to get a string of wins in the league since it's arguably the most balanced in a long time. You could flip the table upside down & that could have been the predicted table before the season with Sheff United & Norwich near the top.

Congrats to the Mackems

If it is a budget reason, it would be an EFL decision, not CBS

We had radio commentary for the Swansea-Norwich game today. So it may be league-wide? Either technical problems or budget cuts perhaps

No doubt that he's made the team and League a lot of money but the point is that even with all of that, he has done little to close the gap against the other leagues.

If MLS can't do it with Messi, it's unlikely ever to happen unless the owners substantially open up their checkbooks and spend $$$.

Messi sold a ton of shirts and tickets, but he hasn't broken the League into the mainstream. Ronaldo, while no angel, would have been a star here on late night television and doing interviews in multiple languages,.including English of course. That, like Beckham at LAG, would have moved the needle

A few reasons why the Championship appeals to me are: (1) Results are more unpredictable, (2) The games in the EFL have a better flow to them with fewer stoppages. & (3), related to that, the Championship has no VAR.

EPL games are sometimes too tedious to watch with VAR ruling on slightest contact

A good excuse to watch an English Championship game instead 😉

Martin is not a good manager. Talks a good game but it's all about him and focusing on possession stats and other pointless metrics instead of doing what's necessary to win games.

Likewise Ryan. A win can make an average weekend so much better!

It was probably a result of the Liverpool fans booing the national anthem

Thanks Ryan. Best of luck to Sunderland too. 👍🏻

I don't, sorry. Since leaving World Soccer Talk, I haven't been following all of the changes to media rights.

If I was still running WST, we would be all over the news and would have an article with all of the details of where to watch the games.

Good point for Motherwell. It was a pretty good game to watch too.

Condolences to you and the family, Robert.

Garber's words are encouraging about future changes and he's finally admitting that the League needs to change. But without approval from MLS owners, his words are as meaningless as most of the MLS regular season.

I'm surprised that LaLiga North America (ie Relevent) doesn't do more PR to play up their strong numbers. @borisgartner.bsky.social

LaLiga game of the week on ABC would be great.

The plan makes too much sense and should have been adopted years ago. It probably means that MLS owners won't agree to the changes, and that status quo remains.
