It is harder to see US corrupt, collapse, and be ruined than my country corrupt, collapse, and be ruined.

to my field. I should have prepared a hive if this was the case.

Just to state the obvious: immigrants should be treated with dignity and respect – not thrown in jails (at times without any due process), where neglect, abuse, and deaths are rampant.
Haitian woman dies in US immigration detention
At least six others have died in ICE custody in fiscal 2025, which began in October, ICE data shows.

Does #Bluesky have any norms around AI-generated content? It's frustrating to see AI images flooding the #photography tag. I’m not against AI per se, but tagging generated images as photography misleads and disrespects real photographers.

There potato plants are HUGE!
This winter, I cleared wild thorn bushes, dug out the roots, and planted potato right there.
Sometimes land left wild for years turn out to be the most fertile.

In fact, we need people not directly at risk to speak up loudly. If you are trans, it doesn’t have to be YOU putting your face out there for trans rights all day. It’s everyone else’s job to stand up and fight.

If you’re a US citizen, you need to fight for vulnerable immigrant friends and coworkers

Agree. BTW, what separates a "true" revolution from a toxic masculinism revolution?
History is full of nightmare: The French Revolution gave us Napoleon; the Russian Revolution gave us Stalin.
Here is where we need Freud and Lacan, and yes, I'm totally Žižekian here.
What Trump is doing literally is a cultural revolution, but instead of a working class revolution it's a masculinism revolution. They are pilled on fascist memes about factory work being the ultimate masculine ideal and they are breaking the world economy to impose that on America.

A far-right movement is a desperate revolt against the inevitability of capitalism—a reaction born from rejecting the inevitability of communist revolution. These machos preach Social Darwinism, yet when they find themselves discarded, they cry conspiracy.

That tariffs can't benefit the economy was already argued by Adam Smith in The Wealth of Nations (1776). Trump and the MAGA crowd ignore even the basics of economics. they're playing politics and economics like it's the Dark Ages.

Recently, several wildfires have broken out in Japan. Also here in Okayama, one is still burning (my area is safe for now).

It's time to pay the price for our stupidity on climate change, but Japanese denial runs deep. for now, they are blame bonfires, outsider arsonists and conspiracies😩

An emerging area of research shows how positive childhood experiences, like safety, stability, and nurturing relationships, can our impact health—even offsetting adverse childhood experiences. @preetisimransethi.bsky.social reports:
How Positive Childhood Experiences Offset Adversity
Adversity in childhood can affect our health later in life. But positive childhood experiences also have a profound impact.

Poor whites need universal healthcare, yet they despise it. This is anti-communist ideology self-poisoning.
US won't perish by communism, but anti-communism. A Hegelian tragedy!
